Face, Neck & Brow Lifts

Face Lift

Face lift procedures are performed to repair sagging skin and tightening facial tissues for a firmer, fresher appearance. Our plastic surgery practice targets specific areas of the face through such procedures as the neck lift (Platysmaplasty), mid face lift, and brow lift. Our modern technology even enables us to use fillers in the hands so they don't look veiny, giving away one's age.  After all, no one wants to look 50 with the hands of a 70 year old.

Using the latest surgical techniques, Dr. Jones can repair and remove sagging, lax skin from around the neck and jaw line, the corners of the mouth, the base of the nose, the cheeks and lower eyelids, and the forehead. Depending on a patient’s overall health and the natural elasticity of the skin, we can recommend a procedure that varies in intensity and recovery time to provide the safest, most effective results. By repairing sagging skin on the face and neck, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, and tightening facial tissues, Dr. Jones can help you regain a youthful, natural look.

Neck Lift

The neck lift is a terrific procedure.  When your neck starts to sag a bit and the muscles of the neck begin to look like bands running down the front of your neck, then it is time to think about a neck lift.  As we age the Platysma muscle at the front of the neck begins to separate.  In a neck lift, a small incision is made under the chin (where it can't be seen), and the Platysma muscle is sutured back together.  Sometimes a little liposuction under the chin is also needed depending on whether there is a bulging fat pad under the chin). Any little bit of excess skin may be removed to provide a smooth, natural result.  This improves the angle to a tighter, more youthful position.  Once the healing process has taken place, no one will even be able to tell.  Generally, friends can't put their finger on what's different, they just think you are looking great.

Brow Lift

Sometimes the forehead, or brow, begins to slowly fall.  Patients who need a brow lift often find themselves having to keep their eyebrows raised in order for them to see properly.  Needless to say, it is fatiging to constantly have to hold up one's brow. During a brow lift, an incision is made in the hairline all the way around the brow area and the brow is lifted and kept in place with special tiny screws.  Sometimes, if we have a patient with very deep 11 lines between their eyes, it is possible to fix that so that those muscles can no longer do that permanently.
